The muscles of the body build up tension and toxins when affected by everyday stress and external stimuli and our bodies need to release these toxins in order to function at optimal energy levels. When muscles are compromised through injury or even common posture issues, other muscles compensate in order to protect injured areas, which may result in pain issues in many different areas of the body. Massage therapy is a vital component of a healthy lifestyle and it helps the body to "help itself" by relieving pain with its own healing properties.
Zen Bodywork utilizes the body's own healing energy through Swedish massage and deep tissue massage therapy and Neuromuscular bodywork along with Reiki energy work. My bodywork routine is personalized for each client based on their physical needs or issues. The massage therapist to client relationship is very personal and strictly confidential, so please make me aware of any physical limitations or issues prior to any massage session.
I am currently working from two locations in the upstate of South Carolina as well as making out call massage visits to my clients homes. My main massage studio is located at 425 North Main Street, Suite C, Simpsonville, SC, 29681 and is a new location which opened on March 7th, 2009. I am accepting clients at this location as well as my home studio located in Gray Court. I do, however, require new clients to visit my Simpsonville office on their first visit before visiting my home studio or making arrangements for an out call. The Simpsonville massage studio is very conveniently located just 1.6 miles from I-385 South exit 31-A in Simpsonville just off Scarsdale Street in the newly constructed building behind Saunders Office Supply.
